Element4 fireplaces are designed to last twenty years or more, provided they are properly maintained. We offer a five-year factory warranty on the body and two years on the electronic components. Many of our fireplaces from the 2000s are still burning without any problems today.
Element4 offers several collections of gas, bio-ethanol and electric fireplaces, each with its own look, technology and possibilities. Within the collections you can choose from a wide range of sizes and models, such as front, corner, tunnel and room divider fireplaces. This means there is a suitable Element4 fireplace for virtually every interior style, space and preferred fuel.

Yes, in many cases a fireplace can be safely installed below a television. It is even one of the most popular interior trends right now. Modern cinewalls combine a television with a built-in fireplace for a luxurious look.
Whether a fireplace can be installed below a television depends on several factors:
- The type of fireplace
- The heat output
- The construction of the wall
- The minimum safety distances
- The specifications of the television
Electric fireplaces are often the simplest solution because they give off relatively little heat at the front. Modern closed gas fireplaces can also be installed below a television, provided the installation is carried out correctly.
With a cinewall, it is important to take ventilation, insulation and the mounting height of the television into account in advance.

Yes, in many cases this is possible. Electric and bio-ethanol fireplaces are particularly suitable because they do not need a flue. A gas fireplace may also be possible, depending on the available flue options. An Element4 dealer can advise you on which fireplace best suits your apartment.

Gas fireplaces
This depends on the type of fireplace. A gas fireplace needs a suitable flue gas system, whereas electric and bio-ethanol fireplaces do not need a chimney or flue. Your Element4 dealer can determine exactly which flue and installation are suitable for your situation.
Yes, you can. Many Element4 gas fireplaces are also suitable for propane, so a connection to the natural gas grid is not necessary. An authorised dealer or installer can advise you on the best solution for your situation.
Natural gas is supplied through the fixed gas grid, whereas propane is stored in a tank or gas cylinders. This makes a propane fireplace a good solution in locations without a natural gas connection. Many Element4 gas fireplaces are available for both natural gas and propane; the right version is matched to the type of gas available.
Gas consumption varies by model, output and the selected flame setting. Thanks to the adjustable burners, you can adapt the fire, and therefore the gas consumption, to your wishes. You will find the exact consumption in the technical specifications of the Element4 fireplace in question.
Yes, in many cases this is possible. Element4 has several insert models that can easily be fitted into an existing chimney breast or open fireplace. This lets you enjoy the convenience and atmospheric fire of a modern gas fireplace while keeping the existing chimney breast. An authorised dealer or installer can assess which model best suits your situation.
We recommend having a gas fireplace inspected and serviced annually by an authorised installer. Regular maintenance keeps the fireplace working safely and efficiently and helps to prevent faults.
Yes, most Element4 gas fireplaces continue to work during a power outage. The fireplace runs on batteries and therefore does not need a fixed power connection for basic operation. Any electrical accessories or extra functions may not work during a power outage.
A gas fireplace burns natural gas or propane. The burner creates a realistic flame picture, and the flue gases are safely discharged through a flue system.

No, an electric fireplace does not need a chimney or flue. A power connection is all it takes, so the fireplace can be placed almost anywhere in the home.

Yes. Element4 electric fireplaces have a heating function with an output of 1.5 kW. In addition to an atmospheric flame effect, the fireplace also provides pleasant supplementary heating in the room.

Bio-ethanol
Bio-ethanol is a plant-based fuel that creates real flames without a gas or flue connection. When used in a bio-ethanol fireplace designed for it, it is a safe fuel, provided the installation and operating instructions are followed and there is sufficient ventilation.
The burning time depends on the capacity of the burner and the selected flame setting. In general, one full fill lets you enjoy the fire for several hours. The exact burning time varies by model.
Yes, sufficient ventilation is important. A bio-ethanol fireplace does not need a flue, but it does use oxygen during combustion and produces CO₂ and water vapour. Therefore ensure sufficient air exchange and always follow the ventilation and room requirements of the fireplace in question.
Expect to pay around €3 to €7 per litre on average. The price per litre is often lower for larger packs.
A bio-ethanol fireplace does not need a gas or flue connection, which makes installation relatively simple. For safe and correct installation, however, we recommend having the fireplace installed by an authorised installer, in accordance with Element4’s installation instructions.
When burned properly, bio-ethanol produces hardly any smell and no soot or ash. A faint smell of alcohol may be noticeable briefly when lighting and extinguishing the fire. For optimal, clean combustion, always use bio-ethanol of the recommended quality.
Bio-ethanol is produced from renewable raw materials. Its overall sustainability depends on how and where it is produced.
High-quality bio-ethanol usually produces little odour.
A bio-ethanol fireplace burns liquid bio-ethanol, producing real flames. In many cases, no flue is needed.
Always refill the bio-ethanol according to the instructions for the fireplace in question. Make sure the burner is completely switched off and cooled down before you refill it. Never refill bio-ethanol while the fireplace is burning or still warm. We have an instruction video that gives a good idea of how to refill bio-ethanol. It shows an Ovation bio-ethanol model, but the process is similar for other bio-ethanol models.
