We process data that you provide yourself when you contact us, ask a question, or sign up for the newsletter. This may include your name, email address, phone number, country, the content of your message, and any data you include in it. If we have a business relationship with you, we also process contact, order, delivery, and invoice data necessary for that relationship.

When using the website, technical data such as your IP address, device data, browser data, and information about your visit may be processed. We explain which cookies and similar techniques we use in our cookie statement and settings on the website.

For the interests mentioned above as a basis, we weigh our interest against your privacy interest. You can object to this. If we ask for permission, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that lawfully took place before.

You receive our newsletter when you sign up for it or when we are allowed to send it to an existing customer according to legal rules. Each newsletter contains an option to unsubscribe. After unsubscribing, we stop sending and only retain what is necessary to respect your unsubscription or to demonstrate that previous sending was allowed.

Only employees and parties who need the data for their work have access. We may share data with our hosting, IT, email, and newsletter service providers, delivery or service partners, and, when you request it or it is necessary for handling your request, an appropriate Element4 dealer. We make agreements with processors about security and confidentiality. We do not sell your personal data.

If a service provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we ensure an appropriate transfer basis and, where necessary, additional safeguards. You can ask us which safeguards apply to your data.

We do not retain data longer than necessary for the purpose for which we received them. As a starting point for this website:

• Contact requests: up to twelve months after handling, unless a longer retention period is necessary due to an ongoing case or legal obligation.
• Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe; data necessary to demonstrate consent or unsubscription, as long as reasonably needed.
• Business order, service, and warranty data: as long as needed for execution, service, warranty, and any legal claims.
• Data that are part of the fiscal administration: as long as the legal retention obligation applies.
• Technical log data and cookie data: according to the terms in the cookie statement and the settings of the relevant services.

Necessary cookies ensure the website works. For analytical and other non-essential cookies, we ask for permission when legally required. Our cookie statement specifies which techniques we actually use, which providers they are from, what they are for, and how long they remain active. Through the cookie settings, you can adjust your choice or withdraw permission.

You can ask us which personal data we process about you and request to correct, delete, or transfer them. You can also request to limit processing or object to processing based on a legitimate interest. Not every request can be fully executed in all cases, for example, when we are legally required to retain data. We will explain this.
